{"id":2556,"date":"2025-10-21T05:29:49","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T05:29:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreedomvoice.com\/?p=2556"},"modified":"2025-10-21T05:29:50","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T05:29:50","slug":"https-thefreedomvoice-com-nepal-electricity-authority-cuts-power-6-industries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreedomvoice.com\/?p=2556","title":{"rendered":"Power Authority Cuts Electricity Lines of 6 Industries Again"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has cut the electricity lines of six industries again due to disputes over unpaid dues for dedicated and trunk lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/thefreedomvoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-9-1024x683.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2557\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thefreedomvoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-9-1024x683.png 1024w, https:\/\/thefreedomvoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-9-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/thefreedomvoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-9-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/thefreedomvoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-9-1536x1025.png 1536w, https:\/\/thefreedomvoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-9.png 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The authority has previously started disconnecting large industries that consumed electricity through dedicated and trunk lines during load-shedding periods without paying the required premium charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the industrialists have been demanding proof of electricity usage as per the agreement between the authority and the industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From Tuesday morning, NEA disconnected the electricity supply of <strong>Jagadamba Steel, Reliance Spinning Mills, Shivam Cement, Ghorahi Cement, Arghakhanchi Cement Industries, and Triveni Spinning Mills<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to NEA, the pending premium electricity dues are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Jagadamba Steel \u2013 NPR 1.6 billion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reliance Spinning Mills \u2013 NPR 753.7 million<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shivam Cement \u2013 NPR 778.8 million<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ghorahi Cement \u2013 NPR 508.5 million<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arghakhanchi Cement Industries \u2013 NPR 448.4 million<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Triveni Spinning Mills \u2013 NPR 321 million<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The dispute covers the period from <strong>Magh 2072 to Baishakh 2075<\/strong>. NEA alleges that although these industries used special lines during load-shedding, they did not pay the designated extra charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"mzb-section mzb-section-dfa484db\"><div
