The District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu, has received complaints that ride-sharing companies such as Indrive, Pathao, and Yango have been charging higher fares than usual during disaster situations.

Following these complaints, the administration has urged all service providers not to exploit passengers or overcharge during emergencies.

In a public notice issued on Saturday afternoon, the DAO stated that if anyone has faced such exploitation, they should contact the office’s information officer/spokesperson Mr. Muktiram Rijal at 9851338322 with necessary evidence.

The notice, signed by Administrative Officer Sujankumari Bardewa, also warned that anyone found guilty of such fraudulent activities would face legal action as per existing laws.
